Auto Show Wrap-Up

Well, the 2008 Pennsylvania Auto and Boat Show came to an end yesteday, and wow..the weekend was packed! There always seems to be a fascination with brand new products, and there were plenty on display.


The big buzz around the Lehman Volvo stand was the IPD Volvo C30, a concept car that is based on the brand new 2008 Volvo C30. There were plenty of people taking pictures of this one!

Believe it or not, this thing does run...and has a supercharger, AND N.O.S. set-up. ABC27 covered this vehicle, which makes 384 horsepower and 409 pound feet of torque.

On the Saab side of the building there were all 3 variants of the 2008 Saab 9-3, and of course a 9-5 and 9-7X SUV on hand. Next year should be even better!

Volvo and Saab at the Pennsylvania Auto and Boat Show

Well, set-up was today for the big show and the excitement is building! Lots of new cars this year, including the Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan, Sport Combi and Convertible. Also, the Volvo C30, xc70, and V70. The Volvo display has a great concept car built by IPD. They have been tuning Volvos since 1963 and the car they have in Harrisburg is in a word...awesome.

And since this is also a boat show, we have a new XC90 in towing row, hooked up to a very nice new boat powered by a Volvo outboard motor (of course!). You might not think of the XC90 as a towing vehicle, but it can tow up to 5,000 pounds without any modification, so yes it's safe to say you can haul your Volvo with a Volvo.

Auto Show around the corner.

If you love cars, The Harrisburg Auto and Boat show is the place to be. If you love Volvos and Saabs...you better believe there will be great new models on display from both brands. Also, there will be a Volvo concept car on display from IPD. This one is worth the trip!

We won't give it away here, just come out to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex from January 23rd to the 27th to see for yourself.

Speaking of Auto Shows, the North American Auto Show is going on right now, and one of the big unveils was the Saab 9-4X concept. This crossover looks GREAT, and we will see a production version some time in the next year.

There will also be a Volvo Crossover coming called the XC60, and that vehicle looks to be just as amazing. There is plenty to look forward to!

In what is a very fast way to ring in the new year Saab has a couple of amazing performance vehicles. One here and one on the way.

The one we have at Lehman Saab is the new 9-7X Aero. And it is a blast! 390 horsepower...all wheel drive...and a unique exterior. The Aero name means business, and the latest Aero will scoot to 60 under 6 seconds...not bad for a real size SUV.
