Gearheads Rejoice...Volvo doubles manual transmission options for 2010

My first 2 Volvos both had manual transmissions...and for good reason. They are just fun! Sure, the geartronic transmission is very good, but there is a small percentage of the US population that just have to have a stick...myself included.

The C30 hatchback and C70 convertible have always been available with a nice 6 speed manual, but for 2010 Volvo has added that option on both the S40 sedan and V50 Sportswagon.

The S40 manual is available in front-wheel-drive 2.4i trim as well as T5 R-Design AWD.

The V50 manual is available in the T5 R-Design AWD.

There are not a lot of sporty turbocharged manual transmission wagons on the market, and the V50 is simply an awesome choice. Perfect blend of practicality, safety...and of course...FUN!
