Well, the excitement is building... And we need to pack! The nice thing is Volvo is taking care of the rest! (travel-wise anyway) I received our XC 60 experience sheet and schedule of activities which include a Swedish Meatball lunch (of course!), a Factory tour, a workshop, and more... For a Volvo guy (such as myself), it will be an awesome experience.

OK, I am getting excited now! In 4 days we will be up and away on our way to Volvo HQ in Sweden! We will be taking delivery of the all-new Volvo XC 60, which is said to be the "Safest Volvo ever produced". That's a pretty impressive claim. Anyway, we are taking SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) from Newark to Copenhagen, then landing in Volvo's home city of Goteborg ( Gothenburg in English). From what I've been told the experience will mirror the same one taken by any of our customers who purchase their cars through OverSeas Delivery....they get the royal treatment from Volvo, including all transportation taken care of, from airport to hotel, to delivery center. Oh, and in case you are wondering about the XC60 that we will be "picking up", its an Orinocco Blue (Color only available through OSD!) model, standard with a laminated panoramic moonroof (a Volvo exclusive!)

Well, we all see the economic news and reports...and as a result people are putting off big purchases. Well, at the begining of March I will be headed to the Motherland....of Volvo. That's right! A trip to Sweden. Talk about exciting...it's the Overseas Delivery of one of Lehman Volvo's first XC 60s. I will be taking part in the same experience that our customer's share when they order their new Volvo through O.S.D. That means a flight for 2, a factory tour, and driving the new model overseas. And this program costs...Nothing! It's true...no charge for the flight, the hotel stay (1 night at the SAS Radisson ) or to have your new Volvo shipped back to Lehman Volvo. Well, people wanted to know, and now we have the information. The 2010 Volvo XC60 will start at (drumroll please....).....$37,200*. Pretty sweet deal...and here's why...there really isn't a base model. All XC60 models come with the awesome T6 (thats a turbo-charged in-line 6 cylinder engine), All Wheel Drive, Leather seats, power seats, foglights, HD stereo, Sirius Satelite Radio, 18 inch alloy wheels, and for the introduction the Panoramic Moonroof...and more.
